Please Vote for Me Democracy Lesson: This lesson explores two essential questions: What are the key values necessary in a democracy? What happens when elections are not well run?

The lesson begins with a discussion of basic principles of Western-style democracy. It encourages classroom discussion about the purpose and effect of the documentary.

Class Activity: Classroom election which gives students the opportunity to run an election of their own.

Handouts: Principles of Democracy, and a Student Model Election Party Campaign Worksheet. These printables are ideal for civics-focused lessons and are available to download individually.
